Details of the build:
Darth Vader’s Tie Fighter X1 Camaro has undergone a complete transformation from it’s original form – almost every nut and bolt on the car was upgraded and or modified. Far from being a “show-only” car, the SS backs the looks up with over 1000 hp from a newly installed F-1R Pro-Charger built by EB3 Motorsports in Manassas, VA. It has a custom built one of a kind hand fabricated X1 Tie-Fighter audio system containing LED lights with 3 subwoofers, LED lights inside and outside throughout the vehicle and built in smoke system created by Chris McNulty and Driven Mobile Electronics in Chantilly, VA. The stunning black satin paint finish was done by industry veteran Jimmy Campbell.
Modifications to the car include a full air ride suspension by RideTech, which is controllable by an iPhone. The original transmission was swapped for a TKO T56 magnum transmission 6-speed manual and Detroit Speed differential Truetrac 370 gears. In the engine bay is a powerful 496 cid Stroker, XFI Fuel Injection system – Fast fuel conversion kit with an Aeromotive fuel pump upgrade and an F-1R Procharger producing over 1000 HP and custom intake with Flowmaster exhaust system that kicks out the side of the car. It was also upgraded with Flaming River rack and pinion steering, air conditioning / heat, SpeedWire control system along with an inverter with custom built alternator producing power to the special effects built in smoke system, lighting, air ride and lighting effects.
Most of the exterior body panels are 100% carbon fiber, from the front to rear spoilers, including the front valance, hood, decklid as well as gauge panels, center console from Anvil Auto Inc., Momo steering wheel, and custom carbon fiber vinyl door panels and tubs.
Transferring all that power to the pavement are Newstalgia Rushforth Night Train Matte Gunmetal wheels which are wrapped in staggered Nitto NT05 tires: 275/35R18 and 345/30R19 Drag Radial. Pulling it to a stop are 6-piston Willwood brakes in the front with 4-pistons in the rear.
